A sneaky snake coiled its way into a household machine and spent the night at a Durban home...
If there is one thing we noticed recently, it's got to be that there isn't a shortage of snakes lurking around Durban. And as much as we love nature and appreciate the wild, we are happy for these slithery creatures to stay away...
But it's rare for any wild creature to just listen to our humble requests...So the most recent black mamba story got us intrigued. In this case, an elderly couple from Mount Moreland were unaware that an uninvited guest stayed over...
Snake catcher, Jason Arnold shared a story about an elderly couple who gave him a call this week about a black mamba in their kitchen.
Now there is a twist to this story because the snake spent the night in their home...And in case you're wondering, they didn't know...
"The woman walked in and found the black mamba on the fridge. It was either climbing down or climbing onto the fridge. The snake was obviously looking for a meal. She got a huge fright and ran and told her husband. When they returned to the kitchen the snake was gone." (IOL)
The couple assumed that the snake had left the house and so went to bed. Then morning came and the wife woke to find the mamba coiled in a machine in the kitchen.
This was when Jason Arnold was called in. He described the rescue and pretty simple. We're not sure about describing it as simple, but big thumbs up to him for being able to do what he does. The couple are definitely happy and relieved that they don't have to share their home with a mamba...
