KZN's favourites: A monkey that plays with a snake
Two of KZN's favourites, the monkey who met the snake, provide us with some entertainment, albeit these two are said to be from India...
We are all too familiar with our neighbouring creatures - the monkeys and the snakes - in our beloved province.
They leave us entertained, afraid, and sometimes in shock, but somehow we all manage to share a chuckle when sharing our monkey or snake stories.
Monkeys and snakes have a habit of causing mayhem, but we rarely see them interacting. This is why we were shocked to see a video that shows a monkey forcefully handling a snake.
In a video that was shared on a snake lover's page on TikTok, we see a monkey sitting on a tree branch.
A snake, which the poster describes as a cobra, is coiled up around the bark of the same tree, minding its business, only to have the monkey grab its body and pick it up.
What happens next shocked us even more.

Some might say that the monkey knew what he was doing, but we think the monkey didn't realise who he was messing with.
Perhaps it was the fact that the snake was very, very still and so the monkey assumed it was food.
Regardless, we would've loved to have seen what happened next. Sadly, we were unable to find more content on the internet pertaining to these two playmates.
