House.

Carol Ofori celebrates another powerhouse woman today for her Woman Crush Wednesday.
Kwenzekile Nkomo is the woman behind Indoni Fashion House and a seasoned designer making waves in Durban’s fashion scene. As both director and chief designer, she leads a brand defined by elegance, exclusivity, and simplicity.
But that’s not all. Nkomo is also a co-founder and key supplier for The Fifth, a Glenwood-based fashion store she launched alongside five other designers.
Since her debut at the Durban Fashion Fair in 2014, Nkomo has built a name synonymous with style. Indoni Fashion House has been a staple at the event ever since, consistently unveiling fresh, standout collections at this prestigious show.

In 2021, Nkomo and Indoni created a standout collection featuring a showstopper paying tribute to King Zwelithini. Her awards and achievements are a great indicator of her standing in the fashion industry.
In 2022, Nkomo won the Durban Fashion Fair Designer of the Year Award and the DFF Best Fashion Business Award.
Indoni has been nominated to showcase the brand locally and on international platforms, with highlights such as Pure London in 2018 and 2019 and Ethiopia Fashion Week in 2019.
We showcased at the African Fashion International (AFI) at the Joburg Fashion Week in 2022 and 2023, which was our greatest achievement. In 2022, Indoni went to Côte d’Ivoire at the CANEX Expo 2023 showcase in Singapore at the TASTE OF SOUTH AFRICA.- Indoni Fashion House
Indoni Fashion House also supplies garments to Edgars Sandton (JHB), Gateway (DBN), Canal Walk (CPT), and House of Nala, a store established by Africa Fashion International.
