The internet is divided on whether these peas are upside down
Updated | By East Coast Radio
We all know that the internet has been broken by illusions before... but is this the ultimate'illusion'?
We're here once again to celebrate another mem that is breaking the internet. Whether it's an optical illusion or the blue versus gold dress debate, there's always something interesting happening online.
Have you ever thought about peas being 'upside down'?
We all know how the internet loves a good illusion, but this one has really confused us. But - somehow - why does it all make sense at the same time? Do most people always put their peas on the left-hand side of a plate? Maybe that's why, but you can decide for yourself.
Even if you're not convinced about it, at least you'll get a good laugh from the comments.

It's because their shadows are above them instead of below.

This image breaks my brain every time you see it. You instinctively know it’s ‘wrong’ but I find it amazing that my brain knows something isn’t right even if I can’t explain what or why

The upside down peas are not obeying the physics of the plate, or the laws of gravity. 😂

“Hey hey! I found a great photo of peas that we need to fill the plate!”

“Great! Wait… they don’t fit perfectly… oh no..”
“Hmmm… BEHOLD! Command Vertical Flip!”
“You’re a genius!!”
If you look close enough you notice there are chips under the pea image. I wonder if they were trying to fill a hole or hide something not on their menu. The plot thickens!
