A man from Gauteng has won the lottery and wants his family back...
Imagine being down and out, unable to provide for your family, and then the dreaded happens - your wife leaves you with the children. Well, this was the experience for the recent Powerball winner from Gauteng.
He spent R22.50 on a Lotto ticket for the Powerball draw and was very much pleasantly surprised when he learned that he had won! He purchased the winning ticket from Brazil Cafe in Pretoria North, through the Quick Pick Selection method.

"I want my wife back so I can rebuild my life with her and our children, and have our dream home. The rest of the winnings will go towards purchasing a brand new house for my parents, paying off all my debt, and investing.
"I feel like I’m in a dream. I can't believe this is happening to me. I have no words to express my happiness. It has been such an emotionally draining year.
"I want to buy myself a brand-new car and save a portion of my winnings to be able to give my children the opportunity to go to university one day," the winner told iThuba via MSN.
This sounds like a real life fairytale. He must be feeling so uplifted right now, knowing that he can now provide for his family and be the caregiver that he knows he is. The past year and a half has been tough on many people, but when we hear stories such as these, it leaves us with a sense of hope.
"iThuba has paid out the highest jackpots in the history of the South African National Lottery, and has created more winners and multimillionaires than any other operator,” said Charmaine Mabuza, the CEO at the iThuba National Lottery.
