While Schuster has been going through some health challenges of late, any talk of his death has been met with anger and disappointment by the legend of the prank game.
Leon Schuster's health issues
Earlier this month, Schuster was flooded with well wishes from his South African fans.
The 72-year-old has been recovering from an injury he sustained last year while shooting 'Mr Bones 3'. He fell off a van and hurt his back.
The actor was on the road to recovery when he suffered a second fall recently. Speaking to YOU magazine, Leon says the fall resulted in him needing a second back surgery.
“I got up confused and wanted to go to the toilet but I had no idea where I was I got up, wet my pants, stepped in the urine and fell on my back. Then I felt tremendous pain. I felt as if they could cut off my back and give the bones to the dogs. I just lay there and screamed."
The 'Oh Schucks... It's Schuster!' star is waiting to undergo another spinal surgery to tighten a loose screw in his lower back. He spends a lot of his time in bed and uses a cane to get around when he needs to.
Despite the setback, he is looking forward to getting back to work when he is well enough to do so.
