A woman from Texas is on a mission to turn her body into a “tattoo canvas”, and after inking most of her body, she took things a step further and tattooed her eyeballs which saw her almost go blind.
26-year-old Sarah Sabbath has been on a mission to express herself through art on her body, and when she decided to be bold and tattoo her eyeballs, things went very wrong, very quickly.
The woman explains that the tattoo artist botched the job by adding too much ink to the solution and not enough water. This made her go ‘blind’ as she explains that she was “unable to see or do anything.”

Sharing her experience in a YouTube video, Sabbath explains that she couldn’t watch TV, stand bright light or being outside. She adds that this resulted in her suffering severe depression because of it.
Sabbath explains that she started seeing an eye doctor who prescribed her eye drops to treat the blindness. Luckily, her sight seems to be improving, although she admits that she still has a lot of difficulty seeing. However, Sabbath admits that she has no regrets about her decision to tattoo her eyeballs, and she loves the way she looks.
“I don’t regret getting my eyes done, what has happened has made me a better person, and I want to get more,” she says.

Sabbath explains that tattoos are a form of expression for her and has become a tattoo artist herself. She adds that her tattoos have helped her feel more like herself. “When I look in the mirror I see someone who has guts, someone strong, I see me,” she says.
The heavily tattooed woman admits that she often gets glances in the street. “I’ve had people look at me like I’m gonna steal something or they think I’m like a criminal but I don’t mind it just because I know everyone is different so I can’t really judge them for thinking the way that they do,” she continues.
She explains that not everyone has the “balls” to express themselves as she does and she’s really proud of the artwork on her body.
