Hilarious image of a baby born with a scowl on her face has the internet in stitches

The image has made
quite the impression with people around the world.
Honestly – the world is a pretty scary place to be born into right now. We are officially an entire year in lockdown, the coronavirus is still making a major impact on the world, gender-based violence continues to be a massive problem, as well as racial hate crimes. So, it’s unsurprising that the world is resonating with an image of a baby being born with a frown on her face.
The image was captured back in 2018 when Stacey Leeming gave birth to her daughter Jersey at the Royal Preston Hospital in Preston, Lancashire.

The 33-year-old shares that she opted to have a gentle C-section on the day and had soothing music from Lana Del Rey playing in the background.
However, the soothing setting didn’t seem to impress Jersey one bit, as she came out with a massive frown on her face.
Now, Stacey says that Jersey must have seen COVID-19 coming on the horizon. "When I saw the little face she pulled I just started laughing. You do understand though, she's gone from being all cosy and warm to the bright lights of theatre,” Stacey said in a recent interview.

"Seeing her for the first time looking like that was so cute, the first thing I saw was her bottom lip poking out, she was definitely the Incredible Sulk,” Stacey joked. "The doctors left her sitting there for a good three minutes just sulking, the picture was perfect. The expression on Jersey's face is like she knew Covid was round the corner, she could see it on the horizon. It's like she knew it was going to be a total disaster."
Stacey explains that the past year has been really tough because she isn’t able to entertain Jersey the way she did her other children "The first year was alright but for the past year of her life she's not really been able to do anything, it's such a shame,” she said. "People who've commented on the picture I shared have said 'I'm not surprised she's got a face like that'."
Today, Jersey is two-and-a-half years old and Stacey admits that "she's still just as grumpy now."
