Have you noticed the emergence of locusts in KZN?

All this after we saw a video of a kid who had a locust on his shirt and went into a state of shock!
Many things take us back to our childhood, from smells to songs.
But recently, we have been bombarded with a flashback of another kind. African locusts have been hopping around many people's gardens in KZN recently and we're not sure how we feel about it.
At first glance, it most certainly gives off a nostalgic feeling. Thinking about your childhood, being amazed by these colourful creatures, even trying to nab one of them.

But as time passes, you realise that these hoppers can do serious damage to your plants.
Not only do they nibble the majority of your fruit and vegetable plants, but they also can scare the socks off you when they jump up out of nowhere.
It's one of those blasts from the past that can stay in the past, thank you very much.

This video captured how we would feel if one of these locusts landed on us. To be honest, we would probably scream our hearts out in fear...
