Have you ever forged your parents' signatures?
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Being a kid isn't easy, it's a busy affair, so when you forget to get your parents to sign your homework book, it's completely acceptable to forge your mum's signature, right? We're not so sure about that...
We're sure many people wouldn't openly admit to this kind of act, but we're going to assume that many have succumbed to it at one time or another.
What are we referring to? Forging your folks' signatures. Look, we don't mean for the big stuff, that would be wrong and we would never condone that sort of behaviour. We mean for the innocent stuff, like in this little boy's situation.
His mum forgot to sign his homework book. In an attempt to try to get out of trouble with his teacher, he tried to forge his mum's signature.
This didn't quite go as planned as he ended up signing the name that he knows her as, 'Mum'. The mum had a good laugh about it when she shared it on a Facebook Group called, Family Lowdown Tips & Ideas.
Her Facebook post read: ‘When your son says Mum I had to forge your signature because you didn’t sign my homework diary! ‘I’m guessing they may suspect it wasn’t actually me who signed it.’
Luckily, the teacher didn't mind the attempt at forgery and went ahead and signed off his homework from her side. We're guessing when he decided to use 'Mum' as the name on his signature, he didn't display much malice in his attempt.
Many people in the group commented and one said: "I forged my mums signature from first day of secondary school till the end... even letters when I bunked or to get out of Pe. Handy being able to do her handwriting."
Another said: "'Mum' love it! Too cute. An A for effort and optimism."
Guess this could've been the other side of the coin for this little boy: "I signed my homework book when I was younger, my mum found it and wrote underneath 'I did not sign this' so ended up with detention."
So it all worked out in the end. Take part in our poll below, be honest... we won't tell.
