Happy Mother's Day from Carol Ofori
Updated | By East Coast Radio
We asked you to send us your kids' handmade Mothers' Day cards and you sent us those artsy displays of affection, so we decided to dedicate this post to all of our mothers.
We were having a conversation with Carol Ofori about Mother's Day cards and she shared with us that she has never been a keeper of cards, so we decided to ask our listeners if they keep their Mother's Day cards - and the response was great.
East Coast Radio mothers from all over KZN sent us pics of handmade cards from their kids, some even saying that their kids are grown up now and the cards are from when they were teeny tiny tots. Cute, right?
In honour of all mothers, we wanted to feature your cards on our website so that these precious mementoes, from your kids, live on forever (on the internet).
Belinne Yenkiah sent us the above pic and said that she made this card for her mum when she was a child. She's now 28.
"I have a memory box full of handmade cards that my kids made for me. I treasure them so much," said Chantal Chetty, who sent in the picture below.
Yvonne Hurwitz said: "My daughters are 38 and nearly 34 and I have kept all their cards! On my bedside table, dressing table and a shelf in our bedroom! Could never part with them ever!!"
"The best part of being a mom, is receiving these love letters from your mini mes. It's really a beautiful and priceless feeling, especially reading their special thoughts about you," Amina Aboo Baker Khan added.
We want to say to all the mothers, from KZN and around the world, we wish you a Happy Mother's Day and we hope you know how grateful we are to you all for being the most inspirational and empowering women we know.
From Carol Ofori and team.
