A grandmother obtains her Master's degree at 75-years-old

Starting off the week with an inspirational story..
Every Monday, Carol Ofori chooses to consciously start the day off on a note of appreciation and more than that, a sense of motivation. This is her way of practicing gratitude in her own personal life. But it is also her contribution to her family of listeners.
It's her way of reminding everyone that life is all about being appreciative of what we do have, and less about concentrating about our struggles and stresses. Because when you lead a life of gratitude, everything else somehow brings perspective.
Notozi Jennifer Mgobozi, a 75-year-old Master's graduate in Education, is a woman who has reminded us that no matter what age you are, you can achieve your goals. Her passion for teaching grew in the 60s when she studied at the Tshiya College of Education in the Free State.
After getting married and starting her family, she went on to work with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), those which had a focus on Education. (News24)

I loved teaching, especially language subjects. I can speak isiXhosa, isiZulu, Sesotho and Afrikaans.- Notozi Jennifer Mgobozi
Her passion for learning was brought on by her family when she decided to register for her Master's Degree, when they asked her when she was going to stop wanting to learn. However, they never discouraged her from pursuing her Master's.
She admits that she faced challenges, but that didn't stop her from finding a way through her circumstance. From juggling her studies whilst working full-time, to physical challenges of having to walk up stairs to meet with her dissertation supervisor, she did it, she managed to push past the challenges and come through with her degree.

We wanted to end off this piece with her inspiring, real, and motivational words...
I allowed myself to be taught and showed humility. I told myself no matter what I would continue with my studies because this was my aspiration. I’m looking to do my PhD next but this time it has to be in Cape Town because this is where I live. Education is so important. If you want to study then you need to set yourself obtainable goals. Once you’ve done that you will work very hard because you will want to achieve those goals. You’ve got to be disciplined.- Notozi Jennifer Mgobozi
