A brave and bold reaction by the security guard...
Not many people will understand the crazy stories that a security officer may have up his or her sleeve. When it comes to seeing things that people don't want you to see, or expecting the worst, security people definitely have a bank of knowledge.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) have their fair share of wild stories. One of those stories has got to do with one of their guards, a guard dog, and a crocodile...
Yes, that's right, this one is a local story, so you will want to know more.
A crocodile made its way onto a construction site in Ballito. When the predator saw the security guard and his dog, it must've looked like a tasty treat...
"The croc first snapped for the canine companion, and attempted to drag the dog away in his jaws. However, the sharp reactions of the RUSA officer ensured there would be no tragedies to report." (MSN)
The security officer acted fast and managed to fend off the crocodile and save the dog's life and his own.
"Reaction Officers were dispatched and on arrival were informed that the crocodile attempted to attack a patrol dog when its handler fended it off with a stick. The reptile is believed to have escaped into the uThongathi River. The Security Officer and his dog were not injured. " (Facebook)
