Dhivya Naicker from Crawford College chats about her eight distinctions

The Matric results have been released and as many matriculants delve into their moments of glory and hard work, Carol Ofori chatted with one matriculant who received eight distinctions.
Exciting times for the Matric class of 2023 as they all celebrate their final results and achievements.
The Independent Examinations Board has recorded an overall matric pass rate of 98.46% in the 2023 assessments.
As per the results, the 2023 pass rate was slightly higher than the 2022 pass rate, which was 98.42%.

As students excitedly plan their futures and make the final touches on their next steps, it was super exciting for Carol Ofori to chat with one of the top achievers of 2023.
Dhivya Naicker from Crawford International North Coast achieved outstanding results, attaining a total of eight distinctions and an average of 90.92% in her subjects.
She was placed in the top 1% in Life Orientation and Life Sciences nationally in the IEB Examinations.
She received distinctions in the following subjects:
- English HL
- Afrikaans FAL
- Accounting
- Life Orientation
- Life Sciences
- Mathematics
- Physical Sciences
- Further Studies - Mathematics Std.
