#DesiTuesday: Can friendship withstand jealousy? Ichcha and Tapasya's story in 'True Love/Uttaran'
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Who was your favourite between these two best friends?
We asked you all a few weeks ago what your favourite series on Glow TV was and many of you mentioned, 'True Love', which is originally known as 'Uttaran'. It is an Indian serial that depicts a story of two friends from different backgrounds.

Of course, we are using the term 'realism' within its limitations, because many of us know that serials/soapies or telenovelas have that heightened sense of unrealism, which is sometimes the reason people watch them.
Moving on, we thought as a tribute to those of you who said you missed 'True Love' we would ask you a question about the story and also give you a small treat.
We were wondering when it came to this very, very awkward best friend situation, whether true friendship can withstand obstacles such as jealousy? From what we gather, the bond between Ichcha and Taspaya is truly strong until the feelings of jealousy creep in...
And then things change in their relationship. Tapasya feels like she needs to be the centre of attention and treats Ichcha in a harsh and unkind way. Is this what true friendship looks like? It makes you think about the foundation of friendship and the barriers that come with it.
