A wedding doesn't have to break your bank account. It can be meaningful and simple if you truly want it to be.

Nowadays, couples are guilty of spending copious amounts of money (sometimes borrowed) on lavish weddings.

We can understand how the pressure to make this day perfect can overtake all sense of practicality.

But love – true love – is simple.

It doesn't demand flashy table arrangements or extravagant attire; it simply stands on the values of honesty, trust, responsibility, and passion.

A Cape Town couple reminded us that a wedding doesn't have to break your bank account.

When you begin a life with your partner, you can opt for a simple wedding, while still adding all the romance and personal touches that make it unforgettable.

Tyron and Lynelda Maharaj got married at Home Affairs and happily shared that it was one of the best days of their lives.

Lynelda shared a cute, upbeat, romantic reel with a few shots from their wedding day, calling it "A Home Affairs wedding love story."

It looked like the perfect backdrop for a romantic comedy with all the quirks of a real love story.

Some might see this as a simple wedding without all the bells and whistles, but this couple made it entirely their own, focusing on what truly mattered: celebrating their love and union.

The photos make it look like a wedding straight out of the streets of New York.

Lynelda shared that this day was everything she and her groom had hoped for – a celebration of a love truly worth waiting for.

Theirs is a special kind of bond, built on trust, faith, and deep companionship.

At a time when many couples go into debt chasing the idea of a "perfect" wedding, Tyron and Lynelda chose meaning over extravagance, setting a beautiful example of what it means to begin a marriage on the right foot.

We wish them nothing but joy as they step into this exciting new chapter together.
