Chinese pensioner does beauty blogging for sick grandson

The things we do for our loved ones...
There is pretty much nothing that a parent or grandparent won't do for a child.
Going above and beyond to make sure that your kids are healthy and have all that they need to be happy is at the core of every parent's being.
But this Chinese grandfather has proven that there is nothing he won't do to make sure his grandson is healthy.
"Six years ago, Zhu Yunchang’s grandson, Xiao Jingyan, was diagnosed with a rare and cruel disease – spinal muscular atrophy (SMAs)." (Oddity Central)
The young boy was a mere five at the time and doctors said that he had 18 months to live. But the young boy fought through and with the help of his family, he is fighting his condition.
There has been difficulty though as the only drug that helps treat Xiao’s condition is from the US and costs around 700,000 yuan (R1,925,770).
This prompted Grandpa Zhu to take a path less travelled for a Chinese man in his 70s.
Even though he knew nothing about beauty products, he decided to learn and became a beauty blogger.
"He first contacted a makeup manufacturer and asked for some free samples, but when the company learned that he was a man in his 70s, they declined his request because ‘old people can’t sell makeup’. But the Chinese grandpa didn’t let that rejection deter him, he went to a cosmetics shop and kindly asked the staff to teach him about the products and how to apply them." (Oddity Central)

He has become an internet sensation, obviously, but many people are of the view that his family were taking advantage of him.
He has ignored the naysayers and persists with his beauty blogging. Plus, he gets a decent income by doing it, which has helped his family.
Thankfully, the medication is now being kept in China, which has eased the financial burden. He continues to test products and provides recommendations to his followers.
