Celebrating KZN's Jeanne Brooks, the owner of Wicked Donuts

"I can't change the world, but I can change myself" - Jeanne.
To give you a little intro into this week's woman crush, Jeanne Danielle Brooks is not only the owner of Wicked Donuts.
She is also a real woman going through her path in life.
WATCH a short reel she posted showing her mom her book for the first time. Courtesy of Instagram.
Born and raised in Durban, Brooks matriculated at Our Lady of Fatima School in Durban North.
She studied for a bachelor's degree and majored in psychology and sociology.
After working as a beautician for 11 years both locally and abroad, she began Wicked Donuts as a side hustle and eventually was able to make it a full-time job. The dream...
She has run Wicked Donuts for the last nine years and she recently completed writing her book, 'A Recipe for Miracles'.
Her story is one not without a fair share of obstacles.
But the mere fact that she kept pushing through and now has a book to share her story, speaks volumes of her spirit.
"Most of us go through a phase in our lives when things feel completely hopeless. I found myself in such a place when I started writing this book and as I wrote it became evident that bad times don’t last forever and sometimes things have to fall apart for better things to take their place. I hope to encourage others to realise that losing it all may be the greatest catalyst to starting over and creating the life of your dreams. Never ever lose hope!” says Jeanne. (Get It Magazine)
Today we celebrate you, Jeanne Danielle Brooks. Thank you for spreading your sweetness in a world that can sometimes be hard to digest.
