We think this day was made to do 'Carol' things...

As we draw closer to Christmas, we take some time to reflect on the year, engage in the merriment, and enjoy the music. The music is what adds to the whole scene of Christmas.

Today is 'Go Caroling Day' and Carol Ofori wanted to share her experience with caroling this festive season. As the name suggests, it is a day about merrily singing Christmas songs and sharing in the holy nature of this time of year.

We wanted to highlight all things 'Carol' today, things that Caroling (all things Carol Ofori) is all about and if there is one thing that 'Caroling' stands for, it's family and celebrating this time of year with loved ones. Since this year marked a year in KZN for the Oforis, they decided to engage in something Durban for the holidays.

So they attended the Dolphins by Starlight show that happens at the uShaka Marine World annually. As a family they have experienced caroling at malls but nothing like this show before, she explains that her daughter thoroughly enjoyed it.

There's a special feeling that hearing Christmas carols brings for people. Whether it's hearing Mariah Carey singing, 'All I want for Christmas is you' or the slow melody of 'Chestnuts Roasting', music manages to bring some sense of nostalgia to the holidays.

In the true spirit of Christmas, we wanted to take this moment to celebrate Carol-ing as we know it throughout the year. The woman with the contagious laugh, the woman who celebrates other women and isn't afraid to laugh at herself, and engage in those conversations that make people uncomfortable.

In life, there are moments where we have to look inward and reflect on the choices we have made in the year, and daily Carol Ofori does that, she forces us to talk about things that we wouldn't generally flock too, but needs attention.

Happy Carol-ing Day and we hope that music connects us this festive season in the most jolliest of ways...
