It was a weekend of appreciation for the Oforis as they attended an event dedicated to the creative powerhouses in the film, television, and music industries of KwaZulu-Natal. 

'One Night with the Kings' was a unique event held at Brown Sugar in Durban. It was a testament to these industries' collective achievements and creativity.

The lineup of 'Kings' includes renowned names such as Norman Maake, Fikile 'Fiks' Mogodi, Zolani Phakadi, Vincent Moloi, Mqondisi Ngubane, and Tongai Furusa. 

These creatives have contributed significantly to iconic productions such as 'iHostela', 'Uzalo', 'The River', 'Shaka Ilembe', 'Isibaya', 'The Wife', 'Love Lives Here', and many more, showcasing their exceptional talent and creative vision. 

Their groundbreaking work has not only captivated audiences, but has also earned them prestigious awards and accolades. 

'One Night with the Kings' aims to honour the great minds whose work has either been filmed in KZN or has deeply resonated with the region's people. 

It is a tribute to their creativity, dedication, and passion that have shaped the entertainment landscape and inspired generations.

Mqondisi Ngubane, one of the directors of the hit show 'Shaka Ilembe', attended the event, and Carol got to speak to him.
