The 9th of August isn't just a special day dedicated to women all over South Africa but also a special day for our delightful Daytime Queen, Carol Ofori

She celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary with her husband, Greg Ofori, last Friday, and the two went on a trip to Mauritius to commemorate their decade of love.

Carol and Greg Ofori have always been open to sharing marital advice. As they reached the milestone in their marriage, they shared ten things they had learned in their 10 years together.

During their anniversary celebrations, the couple shared ten things they had learnt. They started with Forgiveness, with Carol saying that in marriage, it is important to forgive, and with forgiveness comes forgetting.

Then Greg spoke about aligning with your marriage partner's goals, ambitions, values, spirituality, and parenting.

Trust is a foundational basis in relationships; without it, what is a relationship? Carol shared that you must be able to trust your partner in all areas of marriage, whether it involves finances, parenting or love.

"Reliability is crucial in a marriage," said Greg. Being able to rely on your partner to be with you through anything and everything is vital.

Consideration: you should always think about your partner when you do things or think about doing something. Well said, Mr. Ofori.

Carol and Greg shared five more pearls of wisdom they learnt in their marriage.

These include Communication, Intimacy, Prioritising one another, Respect, and Patience.
