Car surfing on the streets of Port Elizabeth
Updated | By East Coast Radio
We took this opportunity to ask Rory Petzer his thoughts, considering this is his home town.
As South Africans, we can agree that we are used to seeing some form of entertainment when we are out on the roads.
Whether that comes in the form of jokes, mime artists or angry drivers, we have an array of entertainment to look forward to.
This time we were left shocked when we saw a video of a woman hanging off the side of a vehicle.
The video is said to be in Gqeberha, Port Elizabeth. Most of the woman's body is outside the car, she is hanging off the car and extends her one arm out and she holds onto the car.
She doesn't seem quite phased for her safety and extends her body even though there are other vehicles close by.
Someone mentioned train surfers in the comment section, which led to us calling this 'car surfing'.
Have a look at what she is doing in the video below, courtesy of TikTok.
Please note that this video is not for sensitive viewers and does contain profane language.

Since our very own Executive Producer, Rory Petzer is from Gqeberha, we asked him to share some thoughts on the video and this is what he had to say.
Please note that if you are not familiar with Rory Petzer, this was him joking.
Having grown up in Gqeberha and spent the first 33 years of my life there, I suspect this person was not hanging out of the window deliberately. It is so windy in that town, I'm willing to bet at least R10 they were blown out of the car when the driver opened his / her window. It happens. You can be living your best life with a little breeze and then all of a sudden a gust of wind will blow you to Knysna.- Rory Petzer
