For food on the move, check out his burger truck...
Very often we find people who don't follow their dreams because of life's responsibilities.
But then sometimes the universe makes a point of pushing them into the most uncomfortable of situations and somehow they are propelled into what they are meant to be doing.
Sometimes it could be using your skills to make ginger beer, other times it is using your mechanics experience to build a mobile burger joint...
"After a two-year mechanic contract ended, Tiyani Maluleke from Soweto dusted himself off and is now on the road to building a food-on-wheels empire." (MSN)
But it didn't just come to him as many people would assume. He went through a tough time feeling down and out after being unable to find alternative employment after his contract ended.
Then on the verge of calling it quits in Soweto, Johannesburg and moving back to North West and open his food joint there.
His friends managed to convince him otherwise. It took their encouragement and his willingness to take a chance that saw the birth of his burger mobile cart, Grub Worx.
Check out more from East Coast Radio
"During the construction phase he realised that the cart would be too heavy. That’s when his mechanical skills came to good use. 'At that time I had a really old VW bakkie shell. I dipped into my credit card to turn the bakkie into a grub truck.'" (MSN)
His vision for his business is to grow the brand and have a fleet of trucks. Having his own fleet of exclusive burger joints.
Specialising in gourmet food, and to think he was going to give up.
His passion for food has fueled his business and he has taken pride in making sure that he only uses the freshest of ingredients to prepare his burgers.
