Bus driver helps bring woman and three kids to safety from abusive partner
Updated | By East Coast Radio
It just takes one person's help and patience to make a world of difference...

Many people go through things in their families that they hide very well.
Sometimes it could be out of fear, whilst other times it could just be because they don't know any other way.
Nevertheless, when it comes to gender-based violence, when someone is willing to ask for help, rest assured there will be help.
The description of this story reminded us of that scene from the popular movie with Jennifer Lopez, 'Enough'. Where she is running to catch the bus to get away from her abusive husband.
Something similar happened recently when a bus driver named Kyle Caswell, who was at the end of his route for the day, was stopped by a woman and her three children.
"He said the woman told him she had been trying to avoid an abusive ex-partner who was nearby and looking for her." (BBC)
Mr Caswell obtained permission from his supervisor and took the family to a safer part of the town.
The Swindon Bus Company have been quite expressive about how proud they are of the young bus driver. They said that it is important to them that their drivers act with humility and good customer service.

Caswell has been praised for his actions in putting the woman and children's safety first. He could've easily just said sorry, it's the end of my route, but he went beyond to help them in their time of need.
