BP Petrol Station starts selling wine and leaves us celebrating wine o' clock...
Updated | By East Coast Radio
BP Petrol station has shocked us all! Bam, they have opened up a "wine-on-the-go" store at one of their sites in the middle of a pandemic.

Who would've thunk that you could stop over at the petrol station and grab a bottle of wine for dinner? Traditionally petrol stations are those convenient stops that we use to grab padkos or to use the loo, but now there's even more reason to stop over...just in time for wine o'clock!
BP petroleum company is the first petrol company to have been granted a liquor license, which is life-changing. Especially for those wine lovers that have last-minute-dot-com personalities.
There you will now find a small selection of wine, including sparkling wine, it is what BP described in a statement as an offer for customers looking to pop in and out…. to go pop the cork at home.- Business Insider
BP has plans to roll out more stores in Gauteng and the Western Cape. The wine stores fall under the Pick n Pay Express stores housed within the shop section of the BP stations.
The company is also looking into door to door deliveries for customers using food delivery apps. That's quite innovative of them, and we appreciate the growth.
BP said wine-to-go is in line with its new strategy to adapt to and grow its convenience and mobility business, with the primary objective to fully leverage innovation to unlock new value for our customers.- Business Insider
