#BestOfTheWeek: From the first locally produced kettle to the R8m Lotto winner wanting his family back
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Carol Ofori's week and the best of the best...
To start off the week, we noticed that one of the posts that really got your attention, even throughout the weekend, was the snake peeking out of the spice shelves at a Woolworths store. Of course it was a store in Australia but it was still amazing to see and super creepy.
Another reason that will make many turn to online shopping. But we loved the way it was handled, it was almost as if the snake sensed that the woman was familiar with his kind and decided to peek out just as she was trying to decide what spice she would put on her chicken that evening.
Nevertheless, it all ended well as she put him in his natural habitat...

Carol Ofori, Keri Miller, Stacey Norman, and Minnie Ntuli all came together for a roundtable discussion that was dedicated to our theme of 'Unshaken' women this Women's Month.
The topics ranged from sexuality and money to body positivity and feminism, and each of these dynamic women brought a personalised voice to the table, that represented women from all over the province and even the country.

Then we had an amazing brand called Zuluish that produced the first local kettle and it doesn't just look snazzy, but there are many South Africans that are keen on getting their hands on it.
The owner of the brand, Yandisa Zulu, spoke to Carol Ofori about his experience, how it feels to release his first item from his brand, and to be able to get such a positive response from fellow South Africans.

Then we heard about a story that really pulled at the heart strings as a man from Gauteng wins the Powerball jackpot of R8-million. His wife and children had left him at the beginning of the year as he was unable to provide for them, due to the financial state of affairs that the pandemic has placed on many people.
He took a quick pick selection and spent R22,50 and he is now a multimillionaire. He shares his plan on getting his family back and treating himself and his parents before putting some money away for his children's education.
Check out his full story here.

Carol Ofori also chatted to a Durban man, who has been working in war-torn Afghanistan for around eight years, and how he managed to come home safely due to the efforts of the Taliban.
Not something many would expect to hear considering things are so tense and violent in Kabul at the moment. He shared his personal experience with us and it's mind-blowing.
