Body pillows have become quite popular. Before it was a much-loved product of pregnant women, now the pillow is available in so many different styles and body shapes, there's a pillow for everyone!

But since their inception, body pillows have become more acceptable, and it seems like people are putting their own twist on it.
The latest one has been created by Shirane, a Japanese designer, with the aim of helping and comforting not pregnant women, but rather single girls or girls who are far away from their partners.

After graduating from Ochanomizu Institute of Art in Tokyo, Shirane decided to work on this idea that would evolve into a full-fledged stuffed boyfriend, that is hairless, toned, and about 65cm by 60cm.
And you don't have to worry about your pillow getting out of shape, literally, because it even comes with a built-in six-pack!

Marketed as a boyfriend who "does not speak, does not complain, is always available and never complains" - but unfortunately only comes in one skin tone.
Shirane initially started off with a GoFundMe campaign and never expected for it to take off the way it did.

Now you can buy the buff boyfriend pillow from various sites for only R578!
Clearly, if you want to make money and have a successful product, you should create something for the single ladies.
