#AppreciationMonday: KZN has their say about what's exclusive to our province
We take a look at what you had to say is the best of the best in KwaZulu-Natal.
We took a look at the things that you say we can only get in KwaZulu-Natal and share some appreciation this Monday. We saw a video of a homeless man in Cape Town who was featured in a TikTok video showing off the tricks he had taught a wild seal, that he considered a pet.
The wild seal, whose name is Nicholas, is both obedient and loves the attention, as we noticed in the video. But the most unique part of the video is that his trainer is a man who doesn't have a home but has such a light heartedness to him and is so natural with Nicholas.
It got us thinking about what we have that is unique to South Africa and, more importantly, what is unique or exclusive to our province. We saw Carol Ofori go to Hartford House over the weekend and highlight the beauty that KZN has to offer, but that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what we have to offer as a province.
We asked you all to share your advice about what you can only get in KZN and you came back with some amazing feedback.
"We've our own Ocean the "Indian Ocean" KZN ok Durban is known as the *Mini India*.. We've the Sharks (Best Rugby Team) & Dolphins (Best Cricket Team) all are Proudly KZN Teams..Bakers Bread the fluffiest most Delicious Bread in

Then we had, the best bunny chows, the best water in Pietermaritzburg, Sardines fresh out the ocean, and even the best pineapple snack from the beachfront...
"Best weather, clean pure water, cheapest food, Durban is the best place and will always be home to me," we love the pride shared by Samantha Mohunlal.
"The raw chilli, onions, tomatoes only kzn........ I have lived in all 3 provinces E.C, Western Cape, KZN. I've been to free state en North west en they dnt have this mixture." This mixture is called 'sambles' and 'putch-chutney' to many of the Indian families in the province and the country.
"In Durban we have the best of everything, that's why some of the other provinces like when we have infighting and looting but hey, from bunny chows, Eyadini lounge, ecr radio, the warmest and most kindest people of South Africa who chat and talk to everyone, the fact that when you visit someone you eat with them and even get Tupperware take aways which they then stalk you for. But on a serious not there's no place like home and Durban Kzn is the best period," Candice Powys said.
