Bucie talks pregnancy, marriage, and giving up music

Popular South African musician Bucie sat down with Bongani for a very honest conversation.
I am fortunate to know Bucie personally outside of the industry, so when she finally agreed to chat to me on air about her personal life and all the rumours surrounding her new album, I was humbled and excited to say the least.
I had to approach the elephant in the room and asked her straight up if the rumours were true. “The rumour isn’t a rumour because it’s true. This is my last album,” Bucie said. “When I work on an album I give it my all, my soul, my whole life. I can’t be an absent parent," she added.

I then asked her about Drake dropping her vocals on 'Get It Together' (which she was featured on when Black Coffee originally released the song as 'Superman'). “Honestly, it is just something I didn’t care about, I had a lot to deal with and for me I found the whole thing very petty, whatever. As long as she sings the song, it’s my melody and everyone knows who sings the song.” Bucie revealed.

We were chatting about J-Lo when she dropped that her water broke during one of her live performances and her husband had to drag her off stage to get to the hospital: “I was on stage when I felt my water broke, my son was premature but I had to finish!”
