KZN’S NO.1 hit music station has confirmed that people can now tune in to the radio station via channel 836 on the DSTV Audio Bouquet.

ECR is known for playing hit music, for having KZN’s best radio talent and entertaining diverse audiences. This radio giant has been part of the KZN fabric for the past 23 years and boasts a listenership of over 1-million people.

The station’s General Manager, Boni Mchunu said that this new addition could not have come in a better time.

“After conducting an extensive KZN market study, it was concluded that the primary reason for people to tune into radio stations is music. The station recently ran the 28 Day Music Makeover campaign to improve its playlist through votes by the people of KZN. That’s why I believe that this new stream couldn’t have come at a better time. We trust that our listeners at home and around SA will enjoy listening to ECR via the DSTV channel. This will extend the footprint and accessibility of ECR,” said Mchunu.

This new way to access KZN’s No.1 Hit Music Station will introduce ECR to the greater Sub-Saharan African region which has been greatly anticipated by listeners who tune into regularly via other mediums.

ECR’s Programming Manager, Zane Derbyshire expressed his excitement about the news.

“We constantly strive to ensure that ECR is accessible on as many platforms as possible for our listeners and finally being added to the DSTV audio bouquet furthers that,” said Derbyshire.

East Coast Radio is also available on multiple streaming channels such as: The ECR app, ecr.co.za, iono.fm, Alexa, Deezer, TuneIn, Radiosa.org and now DSTV.
