East Coast Radio celebrates 24 years on the airwaves by giving away R150 000
Updated | By East Coast Radio
It was a first for South African Radio, 13 hours of non-stop cash giveaways. KZN’s No.1 Hit Music Station gave away a share of R150 000 to every listener that called the station and made it live on air on the 9th of October 2020.
The Breakfast show hosted by Darren, Keri and Sky kicked off the celebrations at 6am in a big way. Not only did East Coasters get the chance to have a chat with their favourite breakfast team but they got rewarded for just calling in and getting live on-air. That’s right, whether someone called in to play Darren Maule’s quick quiz or to request a traffic jam song with Stacey and JSbu, all callers were winners!
With R150 000 won and 24 years on the airwaves, East Coast Radio would like to thank all its’ listeners for tuning in, not only on their birthday but every day.
Here’s to 24 more years of hit music, riveting content and making memories with their listeners for another 24 years.

A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY @ecr9495 #EveryCallerWins... can't believe I've been phoning you guys the entire day. Literally over 2000 calls 😥... needless to say I was the joke of the office 🤣. I didn't care about the negativity, I just kept re dialling, still doing so even now
