Why was Joan Rivers ignored at the Oscars?

"Joan Rivers is among the many worthy artists and filmmakers we were unfortunately unable to feature in the In Memoriam segment of this year's Oscar show," reads the statement. "She is, however, included in our In Memoriam gallery on Oscar.com."

I mean really, is that the best you could do? 

Yet there was more than enough time to include has-been marketing execs over a spot for a woman who created the red carpet culture and was undeniably a part of the Hollywood upper crust. 

More times than not she was outspoken and brash, but be that as it may she should have been included. 

I wonder if Bill Cosby and Woody Allen will be included when their time comes? Of course they will...
