VIDEO: Michael Lowman jams live on The Drive
Updated | By Rory Petzer
Durban-born Michael Lowman must be one of the most talented and humble musicians in the country. He paid The Drive a little visit. He brought along his guitar. It was simply superb.

Michael Lowman lost his dad at an early age, and having been raised in a house full of women, he would often take 'refuge' in his room with his guitar.
He says the first time he picked up a guitar was when he was 17 years old and it was love at first touch.
Lowman says he started posting his music to YouTube to get some validation other than that of his mom's! The right people saw it.
His music comes from personal experience. One feels the heartfelt honesty in every lyric and every guitar riff.
His debut album Crayon Boxes is filled with stories about love, loss, doubt, and introspection.
The album draws on blues, soul and pop and is really one of the most exciting new sounds to emerge from South Africa this year.
Lowman joined The Drive in studio, where he gifted us with a little unplugged performance. He is a super guy, with a super voice.
