Sky Tshabalala is our new sports presenter
Updated | By tanstan fourie
Who would've thought that the perfect candidate to fill the shoes of sports presenter on East Coast Breakfast would be sitting in the studio right next to us!
Sky Tshabalala, who has been on the airwaves for a couple of months now, will be filling you in on all you need to know about the world of sport from 0600 to 09h00.
Sky not only knows and loves sport he isn't afraid to defend his views on certain sports stars or issues, making him the ideal candidate to join our zany team!
“Radio lets me express myself freely and always keeps me on my toes with things happening elsewhere,” says the part-time sports coach at Thomas More College.
Sky wanted to be a pro rugby player (in fact, he played in Sydney, Australia in 2010 for a-year-and-a-half).
The 24 year-old, whose favourite artists are Beyonce, Eminem and Drake, was born in Vryheid in northern KZN.
“Ours is the most beautiful province in SA. In addition to the great weather, we have the most beautiful women in South Africa!”
The team couldn’t have been happier with the selection and had this to say about him:
Darren – It is great that there will be someone on the team who is almost as tall as me.
Natarah – I couldn't get Channing Tatum but ladies I assure you, you won't be dissapointed!
Gabriel – Pity about his dress sense.
George – Another person to look after…
Tanya – He’s veeeeery cool!
Michael – Ja, I laaik him.
Kevlar Kev – Can I be in a ‘get along shirt’ with him too?
Welcome to the team Sky! Let the good times roll.
