Shocking images of child injured by escalator

Just yesterday the story about the little 6 year old boy being injured on an escalator surfaced. 

Within minutes of the story being on our website two other stories come through of another two children having being seriously injured. 

The one being another little boy whose shoe had been totally ripped off while trying to dismount it.

I then received this email from Tracey Rixon Bedford.

Hello Jane

I was hoping you would share our story about an escalator incident that happened at a well-known shopping centre on the 10th July this year.

My little niece Zoey is 3 and was not doing anything wrong other than standing on the escalator holding my mom’s hand and the back stair caught her shoe and pulled her small leg back into the stair ripping to her foot.  

She has 6 stitches in a very tiny foot. The picture attached is graphic but it has the necessary shock factor to act as a warning to parents as it can happen in a heartbeat.

I was shocked at this story as I never knew this type of thing was even possible.
