Memorial service for Hilton College boy
Updated | By Staff Writer
Family, friends and class mates of Chris Loxton, who died during a school excursion earlier this month, will descend on the Hilton College school hall this evening to remember and honour him.
The Grade nine pupil died after he suffered several seizures while hiking in the Drakensberg mountains on a school adventure programme.
His funeral was last week in Johannesburg.
Hilton College's Paul Guthrie has told Newswatch Chris will always be remembered for his big smile and for always being warm and engaging.
"Chris will be remembered as a fun loving boy, he always had a smile on his face, he was very kind-hearted. He was quite heavily involved in rowing.
I know that he particularly enjoyed cooking, and he was just a warm-hearted individual who touched other people's [lives]," he said.
