Updated | By tanstan fourie
Tertiary butylhydroquinone and dimethylpolysiloxane don’t sound like ingredients you’d use to make dinner but according to one researcher, they’re in there. Well, that’s if you tuck into McDonald's fried chips.
Grant Imahara, the former host of hit US TV programme, Mythbusters has identified 14 ingredients that are used to make the potato snack. He spent time at the restaurant’s potato processing plant in Idaho to see how the chips are made from scratch.
