Exclusive interview with Jonty Rhodes
Terence Pillay got the unique opportunity to chat to cricket legend Jonty Rhodes minutes after he walked off the Survivor South Africa set in the latest episode.
A few weeks ago I chatted about Survivor SA and I hinted to the fact that I had an exclusive interview with a famous sports star who made an appearance on the show. Well if you watched the show this past Sunday, you would have guessed it was Jonty Rhodes.
When I went off to the South China Sea, I was told I would be travelling with a sporting hero and discovering it was Jonty was even better since we had worked on a project together many years before.
And so we made the almost 4 hour trip from Singapore to Mersing and then another hour on a boat to the island where we split – Jonty went off the rough terrain of the Survivor location to play the game and I to my luxury accommodation.
I watched him play the game from behind the cameras, which was hugely interesting, and then got a chance to chat to him on the record just minutes after his tribe lost and he went off set.
