Did Mak Dlamini beat the A380?
Updated | By tanstan fourie
Our very own Mak Dlamini has taken on the world’s largest passenger airliner. Watch the video of what went down at King Shaka International Airport here.
The Breakfast Stack sports presenter is no stranger to working out, so when the challenge to race the world's largest passenger plane presented itself Mak couldn't resist!
The British Airways A380 touched down for the first time at King Shaka International Airport last week as part of a publicity drive for its new Man vs. Plane contest.
Mak met up with Bryan Habana at the airport to get some pointers on how to conquer the challenge. (Bryan Habana outran the aircraft in a 100 metre sprint last year.)
At around midday yesterday, when the weather cleared up sufficiently, he flexed his muscles and sprinted off against the giant plane.
Take a look at Mak preparing to race the A380:
So we all would like to know if Mak beat the A380, right?
Well we caught up with him after the race yesterday and he didn't want to reveal who the ultimate winner was.
He said that we need to be patient until the video footage is revealed later today...but in the meantime his lips are sealed.
