Danny K remembers Mandela
Updated | By Staff Writer
Singer-songwriter and record producer Danny K sat down with Jane Linley-Thomas to talk about the "father of the nation", Nelson Mandela who has died at his Johannesburg home last night at the age of 95.
The artist is a friend of the United Nations Children’s Fund and an ambassador for the late Mandela’s 46664 Aids campaign.
Like Tata, Danny K loves children.
He works with several children’s charities and has done a lot of work under Madiba’s name with the likes of media mogul Oprah and former world undisputed boxing champion Lennox Lewis.
Danny K - who knew Madiba very well - told Jane that the death of Mandela is a very sad day for him, adding that it feels as if he has lost his own grandfather.
The 33-year-old celebrity philanthroprist also confirmed what we all know - that Madiba was a charmer.
The ladies loved him.
