Boss responds to the 'I quit' video
Updated | By Staff Writer
Marina V. Shifrin's 'I quit' video has clocked up an impressive 11,015,019 views on YouTube since she posted it on September 28.
Her boss and colleagues from Next Media Animation have now responded with an interpretive dance video of their own.
In the video, they quip: "We work for an awesome company that hires based on dance skills...
"Plus...we like to put on funky costumes, and when we shoot our boss he plays dead...So it's all good
"Oh and...we want to wish Marina well and let everyone know...we're hiring."
The company's spokesperson, Mark Simon, has since told gawker.com that they were surprised by Marina's video. He added: "There is an image now of a sweat shop, we are not. Marina made USD$42k per year. She had a 40 hr work week, 5 days a week. There is no expectation of OT on our behalf, you finish your shift and leave. In our office most folks leave when their shift is up as you work on news flow."
