Khoza – We need a new coach
Updated | By Sky Tshabalala
After another humiliating result for the Buccaneers against another Pretoria team, Dr Irvin Khoza has confirmed the team will have a new boss by next week.
Pirates were thrashed 6-0 by defending league champions Mamelodi Sundown on the week which was there biggest defeat ever.
Augusto Palacios is currently in charge of the team on an interim basis after the departure of Mushin Etugral.
Khoza speaking at a press conference on Monday said, "A 6-1 loss for this Club is unacceptable; to follow that up with a 6-0 loss... I'll be meeting the Technical Team about this."
“The coach we were looking for, that we promised to announce in January is now available in May. We won't wait that long."
According to reports Benni McCarthy could be the next man to lead the sea robbers after completing his coaching licenses late last year.
Pirates next face Bidvest Wits at the Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night in ABSA Premiership action.
