Updated | By Andre Bloem
The goliath grouper is a critically endangered fish species and is found in the Atlantic Ocean. In the western Atlantic the grouper is found from Brazil up to Massachusetts in the USA.
In the eastern Atlantic grouper are found from Senegal down to the Congo.
These fish are believed to grow as big as 360kg.
The world record for a grouper caught with rod and reel is 308kg.
The grouper reminds me a lot of the brindle bass we have here in KwaZulu-Natal.
You can see two brindle bass in the shark tank at uShaka Marine World.
Today we see a grouper chomping a shark.
