WATCH - Fishing for roosterfish

The roosterfish is a gamefish found in the eastern Pacific Ocean from California to Peru. This fish gets its name from the seven long spines of its dorsal fin. The roosterfish uses its swim bladder to amplify sounds.
Roosterfish can weight in excess of 50kg and the average size of roosterfish caught with road and reel is around 9kg.
The roosterfish is not famous as an eating fish and catch and release of this species is recommended.
