VIDEO: Unbelievable Bafana goal from halfway
Updated | By Gareth Jenkinson
Despite an amazing Hlompho Kekana goal from beyond the halfway line, Bafana Bafana had to settle for a 2-all draw with Cameroon in their 1st leg 2017 Afcon qualifier last night.
Bafana led at two stages of the match. Tokelo Rantie scored the match opener, beating Cameroon's keeper after picking up a through-ball to give his side the lead.
Cameroon's Sebastien Siani scored the equaliser, a stormer of a goal, on the stroke of half time to draw level at the break.
But Mamelodi's Sundowns defensive midfielder Kekana produced a moment of brilliance that he will no doubt remember for the rest of his life. Regaining possession in their half, Kekana noticed Cameroon's keeper off his line and smashed a long range effort that caught everyone off guard.
Check out the amazing goal:
Cameroon were not finished though as Nicolas N'Koulou scored the equaliser that saw the teams settle for a 2-all draw.
Bafana meet Cameroon in Durban on Tuesday night for the second leg of their Afcon qualifiers. It is now do or die for Bafana, as they now have just three points from three matches in Group M, while Cameroon lead the group with seven points.
Kickoff is at 19h00.
