Goliath grouper can weigh up to around 360 kilograms and can reach up to three metres in length.
They are a protected species in many parts of the world.
Goliath grouper feed on crustaceans, fish, octopus, young sea turtles and even sharks.
These fish are considered critically endangered, but numbers are believed to be increasing now that they are protected.
Goliath grouper are similar to the brindle bass we find here in KwaZulu-Natal.
You can see two fine brindle bass in the shark tank at uShaka Marine World.
Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy another fine bit of Florida fishing action featuring Captain Wiggins.
