VIDEO: Spectacular sailfish battle
A sailfish fights in style after being hooked on light tackle.
These fish can swim at over 100 kilometres per hour and are known to jump out of the water in a bid to shake a hook.
Sailfish can weigh up to 90 kilograms.
It is believed sailfish change their body colour to communicate with other sailfish.
These fish are found off the KZN coast and I have seen them caught off boats, jetskis and fishing skis.
The footage below was shot off Florida in the USA and features a sailfish hooked on much lighter tackle than I am used to seeing.
