VIDEO: Orange Rocks shad fishing
We recently shared footage of garrick fishing at Orange Rocks on the KZN south coast.
On that occasion one garrick was lost and the other caught in rough and stormy seas.
Orange Rocks, about 130 kilometres from Durban in the Uvongo area, is famous for producing excellent fishing.
I have also seen footage of big sharks caught from this tricky spot.
I certainly would not recommend this venue to the rookie angler.
It takes a fair bit of skill and experience to get your catch through and over the many rocks and care has to be taken not to end up falling in the ocean.
Today we have footage of a very nice shad landed at Orange Rocks.
