VIDEO: Fishing for reef donkeys

Amberjacks feed on squid, other fish and crustaceans. There are both greater and lesser amberjacks.

Greater amberjacks are the largest in the jack family and can weigh up to 18 kilograms.

They are generally caught close to reefs and shipwrecks.

These fish are also known as reef donkeys.

Lesser amberjacks are smaller than greater amberjacks and are found in deeper water.

They usually weigh less than 5 kilograms.

Today we see Captain Wiggins and friends hooked into what they think is either a grouper or a greater amberjack.
