VIDEO: Durban harbour grunter
Updated | By Staff Writer

You can catch several other species, such as kingfish and springer, but I suspect grunter is the fish most consistently targeted and landed by anglers in Durban harbour.
I have fond memories of catching grunter both in the harbour and off North Pier in Durban.
Cracker shrimp, baby squid and sea lice were my preferred baits.
It has been a while since my last harbour fishing trip. I did see some nice kingfish near the Point Yacht Club earlier this year.
I heard last week of both grunter and pickhandle barracuda action in the harbour and recently posted a video showing anglers targeting these cuda in the silt canal.
I have also shared footage of Durban harbour walla-walla and garrick fishing on this page.
Today, however, our footage will focus on the usual suspect.
